In its first year of operation, the xMobil project will develop a working prototype of a solar-powered research art module in the form of a car trailer that fosters creativity and innovation in remote locations
The modularly-furnished trailer will provide durable yet affordable equipment for AV production and playback (DJ, VJ, video, + VR/AR), and is also designed to support research in projects on the art-science-technology axis, including natural science research, field sociology and visual anthropology. The project is geared towards the development of social and technological innovations that overcome access constraints in remote, rural and natural locations that lack electricity supply and access to such equipment.
The collaboration is open to the young and not so young (16+) who are interested in planning, soldering, designing, welding, programming, animation, video & audio production and who would like to work in a creative team on Fridays. After the hackathon, selected participants will be invited to join a core project team that will meet weekly until June 2022. The wider group will remain open to all interested people and talents, innovators and creators!
